The present invention relates to a method for providing an online racing contest, and an apparatus and a system therefor. The method for providing an online racing contest according to the present invention constructs a virtual racing environment as to more than one online racing contests by setting a driving course mapped with an actual image and a map image in a service apparatus, and collects environmental geographic information as to the set driving course, and generates online racing space information per section of the set driving course by using the collected environmental geographic information, and operates more than one online racing contest in an online racing environment construction part, and receives driving information of a user according to the execution of the online racing from more than one terminal device, and transmits online racing space information and online racing proceeding information according to the received driving information to more than one terminal device. Thus, the method enables the user to enjoy online racing more realistically in the virtual space, and to feel vicarious satisfaction by experiencing a place indirectly, where the user has never been, through virtual environment. |
