摘要 #CMT# #/CMT# The circuit (20) has a switch (K1) arranged in parallel to terminals of a lithium-ion battery (10), where the switch includes a transistor (K1S1) and a diode (K1S2). Another switch (K2) is arranged in series to one of the terminals of the battery, where the transistor is selected from one of a metal oxide semiconductor (MOS), a FET, an insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT), and a bipolar transistor. An electronic control unit (25) controls the opening of the switches such that the parallel switch is opened with a delay after the opening of the series switch. #CMT# : #/CMT# Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a rechargeable battery (2) a method for disconnecting a rechargeable battery. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Disconnection circuit for disconnecting a rechargeable battery i.e. lithium-ion battery for a car and a telecommunication station (all claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The circuit allows fast disconnection of the battery even under strong currents, and supports a possible inversion of polarity of the battery.
