The present invention relates to an apparatus for preventing a manganese oxide contained in a coolant from being stuck to a steel sheet strip in the water cooling section of a continuous annealing furnace, which has at least one water tank containing the coolant and a roll installed in the water tank and submerged in the coolant, wherein the steel sheet strip transferred from a heating section is cooled by the coolant when guided along the roll from one upper side of the water tank to the other upper side. According to the present invention, an apparatus comprises: a compressed-air pipe arranged at the upper side of the roll in parallel with the axial direction of the roll; a compressed-air source supplying compressed air to the compressed-air pipe; and multiple nozzles installed along the compressed-air pipe at predetermined intervals, and jetting the compressed air supplied to the compressed-air pipe toward the surface of the steel sheet strip, which is input into the water tank, when the surface of the steel sheet strip touches the roll. |
