PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a learning system to be utilized without assigning a place restriction and to provide an environment capable of utilizing the learning system for a learning essential item user, when a learning essential item provider is connected for only a slightly specific time such as at a learning essential item acquiring time, or when there is a specific progress for the acquired learning essential items or the like. SOLUTION: The learning system using a hand-held terminal can provide the environment capable of learning at any place and at any time by realizing a progress state reporting means for determining whether or not learning of the learning essential items provided by using an application program executing means of a hand-held terminal or a portable telephone used by the learning essential item user is advanced to a specific level, and conveying it to the learning essential item provider when the learning is advanced to the learning essential item user.
