PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of transferring the adjustment of image quality to a user within a safe range not to incur a breakdown, as further as possible.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: layer selection means for selecting any one layer from among a plurality of layers formed by distributing each of a plurality of adjustment items which may have an influence on one image quality determination factor that determines image quality, to any layers; image quality adjustment means for adjusting setting values of the adjustment items belonging to layers including the layer selected by the layer selection means and shallower than the layer in such a manner that the image quality corresponding to the one image quality determination factor becomes closer to predetermined image quality; and image forming means for forming an image with image quality corresponding to the setting values adjusted by the image quality adjustment means. |
