<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage type water heater capable of suppressing reduction in a heat storage amount of a hot water storage tank in a case where jet flow on which a positive or negative buoyance acts flows into hot water in the hot water storage type tank.SOLUTION: A storage type water heater includes a hot water storage tank 1 storing hot water, and jet flow inflowing means flowing jet flow, on which a positive or negative buoyance acts, into hot water in the hot water storage tank 1. In the storage type water heater, the cross sectional area of an inflow port (a medium temperature water return port 16) of jet flow is designed so that an index Lm related on the raceway of jet flow calculated based on the momentum flux and buoyance flux of jet flow is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold in which mixture of jet flow occurs in a direction opposite to a direction in which buoyance acts.</p> |
