PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electronic endoscope that has an endoscope insertion part of which a rigidity varying structure avoids the necessity of increasing an outer diameter even though the rigidity is variable. ! SOLUTION: Electromagnetic coils C11 and C12 are provided separately along a longitudinal direction of a forceps channel 54, and electromagnetic coils C21 and C22, which respectively correspond to the electromagnetic coils C11 and C12, are provided separately along a longitudinal direction of an image signal transmission cable 56. When a current supply circuit 71 supplies current, a magnetic force attaches the corresponding electromagnetic coils C11 and C21 at attachable places to each other and also attaches the corresponding electromagnetic coils C12 and C22 at attachable places to each other, and then, the forceps channel 54 and the image signal transmission cable 56 are attached to each other. !
