PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image expansion function with hardware while using only a small scale circuit and also to fast perform image expansion processing. SOLUTION: An RPU(real time processing unit) is provided with a pixel interpolation processing part 14b for interpolating insufficient color components for each pixel with respect to original image data imaged by an imaging sensor provided with a single plate type color filter. The pixel interpolation processing part 14b interpolates insufficient color components of inputted image data and transfers the interpolation data to an interpolation data buffer 16b. In the interpolation data, color components are rearranged, and the interpolation data are read from the interpolation data buffer 26b, transferred to the pixel interpolation processing part 14b and subjected to the second pixel interpolation. Thus, it is possible to obtain interpolation data obtained by expanding an image size two times. |
