The present invention relates to a method for synthesizing meta-xylylenediamine by making xylene react with ammonia at lower temperatures and neutralizing xylylenediamine hydrochloride obtained from the reaction in an alkaline solution. In the present invention, the reaction is made at lower temperatures, normal pressure or lower pressure, thereby taking less facility investment cost and process cost compared with a hydrogenation reaction method.
