PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin selector capable of surely preventing a fraudulent action, and achieving high speed processing.SOLUTION: A coin selector comprises: a coin passage extended along a downward axial line in which an input coin rolls; a coin selection section configured to determine the authenticity of the coin in accordance with at least the diameter of the coin, and to reject a false coin from the coin passage in a process that the coin rolls in the coin passage; a coin detection device configured to detect the coin at the downstream of the coin passage with respect to the coin selection section; and an impeller arranged at the upstream of the coin passage with respect to the coin detection device, and configured to rotate around a rotation axial line extended in a direction orthogonal to the axial line of the coin passage on the lateral side of the coin passage, and formed with at least three wings which can protrude to the coin passage according as the impeller rotates, in which the wings are disposed such that the coins are held one by one between the two front and rear wings of the impeller in the coin passage. |
