PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device that can enhance energy efficiency.SOLUTION: A brake control device comprises: a master cylinder 5 that can apply a wheel cylinder hydraulic pressure to a wheel cylinder; a pump 7 provided separately from the master cylinder; communication valves 23S and 23P; a recirculation passage 13; and a pressure regulating valve 24 provided in the recirculation passage. When switching from a stepping force braking state where the wheel cylinder hydraulic pressure is applied by the master cylinder, to a booster control state where the wheel cylinder hydraulic pressure is applied by driving at least one of the communication valve and the pressure regulating valve in the valve opening direction and driving the pump, the brake control device can delay operation to drive the valve in the valve opening direction than operation of the pump. |
