<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic video encoding device in which a stereoscopic effect can be felt from both decoded images even when information obtained by multiplexing and encoding a right-eye image and a left-eye image is partially omitted in a transmission line, and binocular rivalry is not incurred, and a stereoscopic video decoding device.SOLUTION: In the stereoscopic video encoding device, information of horizontal lines of a left-eye image and a right-eye image are alternately mixed in a horizontal direction in such a manner that regions of the same subject are proximate, thereby information of a horizontal line of a multiplex image is generated, and the multiplex image obtained thereby is encoded. In the stereoscopic video decoding device, the left-eye image and the right-eye image are reproduced by performing demultiplexing processing inverse to the multiplexing processing on the multiplex image which is returned by decoding. Even if information is omitted, corresponding regions of the left-eye image and the right-eye image are erased together and any problem caused by erasure only at one side does not occur.</p> |
