PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to stably maintain image density.SOLUTION: A toner supply amount calculation unit (210) of an image forming apparatus (100) calculates the amount of toner to be supplied, on the basis of toner consumption calculated by a pixel counter unit (200) and feedback amount according to a result obtained by an image quality adjustment unit (120) which compares toner patch density with target density. The weight to be applied to the feedback amount is made smaller in simple image quality adjustment which uses few toner patches than in normal image quality adjustment.
