Both gaze-direction detection and gesture detection are implemented using a single imaging device without causing cost increases. This imaging system (CM, 100) is provided with the following: an imaging means (CM) that is capable of selectively imaging a first imaging region that contains the eyes of a user (1) and a larger second imaging region that contains the user's body; a detecting means (110, 120, 160) that detects a trigger action performed by the user; and a selecting means (130) that selects either the first imaging region or the second imaging region on the basis of the result of the detection performed on the aforementioned trigger action. |
