DEVICE FOR TRANSFORMING BATHING TRUNKS INTO A BATHING THONG

The invention concerns a device for transforming bathing trunks into a thong, making it possible to wear only one swimwear garment combining two different styles. It consists of a pair of trunks having a lining (3) into which there are inserted, in the rear face of the trunks, two elastic sections (4) edged by two columns of top stitching (2) that meet at the upper rear portion of the trunks. The elastic sections are fastened at the centre of the two rims (lower rear face) of the trunks (by the first end of the elastic sections) by attachment points (5), then exit via two openings or slots (6) separated by a stitch (8) and reinforced by a heat-sealed part (7) making it possible to knot and thus block the knot (10) formed by the elastic sections after having pulled them, thus creating a movement that retracts the three sides of the trunks (figure 5). The second end of the elastic sections continues to be held outside the trunks by accessories (9) large enough to be blocked by the exit slots of the elastic sections (6). The three rims of the trunks (on the rear face) are then brought together. The elastic sections are knotted (10) and the new bathing thong style (11) is now held stable. The item can be returned to the initial style by untying the elastic sections which are then released, allowing the swimwear item to return to the style of trunks (1). The device according to the invention is intended, in particular, to give the user the possibility of quickly switching from the bathing trunks style to the bathing thong style without having to change. It therefore provides two types of swimwear combined in a single garment.
