A liquid crystal display device for a high voltage driving according to the present invention includes a liquid crystal display panel on which a plurality of gate lines, data lines, and reference voltage supply lines intersect and which includes pixels formed in the intersection parts; a source driver which supplies data voltages to the data lines; and a gate driver which supplies scan signals to the gate lines. A plurality of horizontal pixel lines corresponding to the output channels of the gate driver one-to-one are formed on the liquid crystal display panel. A first gate line and a second gate line are allocated in each horizontal pixel line. The first gate line is connected to the i-th output channel of the gate driver to supply a first scan signal among the scan signals to the pixels of the i-th horizontal pixel line by corresponding to the i-th horizontal pixel line (i is a positive number). The second gate line is connected to any one output channel after the i-th output channel of the gate driver to supply a second scan signal among the scan signals to the pixels of the i-th horizontal pixel line. Each pixel of the i-th horizontal pixel line is previously charged with a pixel driving voltage of a first range in response to the first scan signal and then boosts the previously charged pixel driving voltage of the first range to the pixel driving voltage of a second range which is wider than the first range in response to the second scan signal. |
