PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing structure having an inexpensive price, good appearance and excellent workability, regarding the housing structure for housing an electric cord for a sewing machine in a sewing machine body.SOLUTION: A sewing machine 10 includes: a housing recess 17 provided on an external surface of a sewing machine body 11 so that a power source cord 30 can be housed; an opening/closing door 20 which is provided in the sewing machine body 11 so that a closed state for closing the housing recess 17 or an open state for opening the housing recess 17 can be set and constitutes a design surface of the sewing machine body 11 in the closed state; and a winding shaft 25 extending in a direction crossing an extension surface of a door inner surface 20a from the door inner surface 20a facing the housing recess 17 at the closed position of the opening/closing door 20 so as to wind the power source cord 30. |
