摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which enables address selection at a high speed with sure.SOLUTION: An image display device includes a data electrode provided at each of a plurality of subpixels, a waveguide which is provided on one side of the data electrode and extends in column direction, having a width of the amount of a plurality of data electrodes, a color filter array in which a plurality of kinds of color filters having different transmission wavelength are provided on the waveguide to correspond to a width of the waveguide, a light source part which selectively emits the light of wavelength transmitting the plurality of kinds of color filters, which is made to enter the waveguide, a plurality of scanning electrodes which, extending in row direction, are provided on the color filter array to overlap with the data electrode in top view, and an optical conductive film which is provided between the scanning electrode and the data electrode, and whose resistance value is reduced by optical input to apply a voltage applied to the scanning electrode to the data electrode. An end stage of an address period of the light source part includes a reset period for resetting potential of the data electrode.
