PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container which stores a solid matter that absorbs a gas, secures air permeability with the exterior, and stores the solid matter having a small diameter or a diameter that gets small.SOLUTION: A container 1 includes: a container body 10 having an opened inlet part 20; and a lid 11 which fits in the inlet part 20 from the outer side and closes an opening of the inlet part. A first annular protrusion part 30 which is formed along a circumferential direction of an outer peripheral surface of the inlet part 20 of the container body 10 is formed on the outer peripheral surface. A second annular protrusion part 40 which is formed along a circumferential direction of an inner peripheral surface of the lid 11 is formed on the inner peripheral surface. The first protrusion part 30 and the second protrusion part 40 are engaged with each other in a state that the second protrusion part 40 is positioned closer to the bottom side of the container body 10 than the first protrusion part 30. The engagement causes the container body 10 and the lid 11 to fit with each other. For example, cutouts 50 are formed at the first protrusion part 30 and ventilation is conducted between the exterior and interior of the container 1 through the cutouts 50.
