<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens achieving both of excellent correction of various aberrations and a reduction in the size of an optical system, and an imaging apparatus including the zoom lens.SOLUTION: The zoom lens includes, in order from the object side to the image side: a first lens group having negative refractive power; a second lens group having positive refractive power; and a third lens group having negative refractive power. When varying power, the distances between the lens groups are changed. The distance between the first lens group and the second lens group is smaller at the telephoto end than at the wide angle end. An aperture stop is provided on the image side of the image side surface of the first lens group and the object side of the image side surface of the second lens group. The zoom lens satisfies the following conditional expressions (1), (2) and (3): (1) 0.83<IH/f<1.2, (2) -20.0%<DT<-6.0%, and (3) 0.35<|f/ER|<1.05.</p> |
