PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating a core and resin of an element by which the core and resin are separated from each other at lower temperature, lower pressure and in a shorter period of time with small number of processing steps by suppressing generation of harmful gas.SOLUTION: In the method for separating a core and resin of an element related to the present invention, the element in which the core is coated with the resin is brought into contact with an alkali salt. In this case, it is preferable that the element is brought into contact with the alkali salt under presence of steam. In this case, it is preferable that the core includes at least one of a metal or a ceramic. Further in this case, it is preferable that the alkali salt includes at least one of metal salts of K and Na.
