STAMPER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM USING THE STAMPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stamper and a manufacturing method of a magnetic recording medium using the stamper capable of efficiently forming self-organized dots.SOLUTION: The stamper includes: a base part having a principal plane; and plural guides which are arranged in a first direction and a second direction different from each other on the principal plane as the reference of plural self-organized dots. The distance between the guides in a first vector corresponding to the arrangement of the guides in the first direction and in a third direction corresponding to a third vector which is composed of a second vector corresponding to an arrangement guides the second direction is within a range of an integer m±0.05 times of a pitch of the plural self-organized dots; and the distance between the plural guides in the first direction is out of a range of an integer m±0.15 times of a pitch the plural self-organized dots.
