PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loading device for a garbage truck and a control device therefor in which: a push-in plate does not interfere with a rotor plate, and thus, a loading operation can be performed smoothly even under a cold weather. ! SOLUTION: A garbage truck comprises a rotor plate 52 that is located in a garbage throw-in box 3, receives a driving force by hydraulic pressure, and rotates about a support shaft 54 extending in the width direction of the garbage throw-in box 3, a push-in plate 53 that moves in the back and forth direction so that garbage pushed up by the rotor plate 52 in the garbage throw-in box 3 is transported to a garbage storage box 2, and a control unit that performs control at least over the rotation of the rotor plate 52.
