PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an occupied space compact in a small article housing/holding device including the occupied space for turning respective inner and outer cover plates. ! SOLUTION: A small article housing/holding device in vehicle is provided with: a housing recess 22 which is formed on a stationary side member 4 in a vehicle room 3 and can house the small articles 15, 16; an inner cover plate 27 which is pivoted to the stationary side member 4 by a pivot 26 to enable forward/backward turnings A, B, closes an opening 23 of the housing recess 22 by the forward turning A, and has a holding port 28 formed to enable inserting and holding the small article 16 in a middle part in a surface direction; and an outer cover plate 31 which is pivoted to the stationary side member 4 by the pivot 26 to enable forward/backward turnings A, B and is superimposed on the outer face of the inner cover plate 27 by the forward turning A.
