PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device capable of reducing the occurrence of irregularities of a roller member which slides on a sub guide rail supporting a carriage. ! SOLUTION: An image formation device includes: a recording head having multiple nozzles for discharging droplets; a carriage 5 which holds the recording head; a guide rod 3 which movably holds the carriage 5; a sub guide rail 4 which movably holds the carriage 5 with the guide rod 3; a roller member 15 which is provided at the carriage 5 and contacts with the sub guide rail 4 to slide thereon; and a cleaning member 20 which cleans a sub guide rail contact surface of the roller member 15 as the carriage 5 moves. !
