PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fingerless former which dispenses with a finger, and a forming method of a wire material by a fingerless former. ! SOLUTION: A fingerless former includes a ram 2 in which a plurality of punches 4a-4d are laterally arrayed on a front surface, a die block 20 in which a plurality of dies 21a-21d facing the punches 4a-4e are provided in lateral line, and a reciprocation means which reciprocates the ram 2 relative to the die block 20. It also includes a movable blade 23 provided on an upper stream side of the first die 21a, a fixed blade 25 provided on the side of the die block 20, and a round-trip pitch movement means which makes the die block 20 pitch-round-trip and pitch movement in lateral direction. By repeating an action, with which the die block 20 makes round-trip pitch movement in lateral direction and an action in which the ram 2 reciprocates relative to the die block 20, a work piece W is delivered between the punches 4a-4d and the dies 21a-21d, for forming the work |
