Provided are a method and a system of obtaining a power consumption degree of an application, and an energy saving method and system. The method of obtaining a power consumption degree of an application is applied in a server, and the method comprises: obtaining, when a first application is run, at least one type of occupation data of an electronic device on which the application is located in multiple electronic devices; performing averaging processing on the obtained occupation data in the multiple electronic devices, to obtain a mean value of the occupation data; performing calculation according to the obtained mean value of the occupation data by using a preset algorithm, to obtain a power consumption degree of the first application; and sending the obtained power consumption degree of the first application to at least one electronic device in the multiple electronic devices. A power consumption degree of an application is determined according to occupation data of the application in a large number of electronic devices, so that the determined power consumption degree does not perplex a user while high accuracy is achieved.
