<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release a power saving state, while the image of a sheet is read and to start post-processing for the read sheet, immediately after the completion of reading.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes reading means for reading the image of the sheet, image forming means for forming the image on the sheet, post-processing means for performing predetermined post-processing for the inserted sheet or the sheet conveyed from the image forming means, reception means receiving an instruction for processing using the post-processing means, in response to the reading of a plurality of sheets by the reading means, and power supply control means for supplying power to the image forming means being in the power saving state, in response to the reception of the instruction.</p> |
