<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rechargeable battery having improved safety by preventing abnormal breakdown in a cell due to a short circuit by providing fuses inside and outside the cell.SOLUTION: As an example, a rechargeable battery includes: an electrode assembly including a first electrode plate, a second electrode plate, and a separator between the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate; a case accommodating the electrode assembly; a first electrode terminal and a second electrode terminal electrically connected to the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate, respectively, and protruding to the outside of the case; and a first terminal plate and a second terminal plate positioned outside the case and coupled to the first electrode terminal and the second electrode terminal, respectively, and a terminal plate of the first terminal plate and the second terminal plate includes a first fuse.</p> |
