<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which can be reduced in height, corresponds to connection of numerous wires, is capable of improving accuracy of alignment when electrically connecting one wire to the other wire, and can reduce cost.SOLUTION: The connector comprises a plug and a receptacle. The plug includes a contact, a back-up plate in a thin plate shape, and lock parts provided at positions protruding from both side faces of a housing in a width direction. The receptacle includes contacts of which the number and the positions correspond to the contact of the plug, and hold-down parts provided at positions protruding from the side faces of the housing in the width direction. Each of the hold-down parts includes an insertion opening and an internal space into which the lock part of the plug can be inserted in a depth direction of the housing, and comprises a holding part for holding the lock parts at the predetermined positions. The insertion opening and the internal space are communicated in the depth direction of the housing.</p> |
