The present invention relates to a metal part having at least two zones (60, 62, 64) of lower mechanical strength than the body of the part, said zones being respectively arranged on either side of a longitudinal median section (PM) of said part and alternately located in locations separated longitudinally along the part, the zones (60, 62, 64) of lower mechanical strength than the body of the part being formed by local control of a work-hardening temperature in a process for work hardening the part, especially a process comprising steps consisting in heating the part to a temperature range suitable for obtaining an austenitic phase, then in work hardening this part in a work-hardening tool suitable for defining different temperatures in different zones of the work-hardened part, for example by virtue of local voids formed in the work-hardening tool or by local heating of the work-hardening tool. |
