PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance apparatus configured to reduce the possibility of damaging a sheet in opening a cover, and to enable easy access to the device body, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A sheet conveyance apparatus includes: a device body 2; a first conveyance path 141 arranged in the device body; and a cover 8 openable/closable with respect to the device body and having a holding member 8B, a separation member 8C which is held by the holding member and can be separated from the holding member toward the device body, and a second conveyance path 142 formed of facing portions of the holding member and the separation member when the holding member holds the separation member. The separation member is separated from the holding member when the cover is opened with one sheet located in both first and second conveyance paths. The separation member is held by the holding member when the cover is opened with one sheet not located at least one of the first and second conveyance paths. |
