The present invention provides a seal ring having a good balance of low oil leakage, which is the original purpose of a seal ring, and low torque for improving fuel consumption. A seal ring (1) is fitted in an annular groove provided to one member, either a housing having a shaft hole or a rotating shaft inserted through the shaft hole, the seal ring being in contact with the surface of the other member and in slideable contact with a side wall surface on an unsealed fluid side of the annular groove, the seal ring sealing an annular gap between these members. At least part of an inside diameter end of a ring side surface (2) which is the surface that slides with the side wall surface is provided with a concave part (3) which has a V shape along a ring circumferential direction and which is a part not in contact with the side wall surface. |
