Provided is a golf club shaft having excellent strength. This golf club shaft is made of a fiber-reinforced epoxy resin material including a cured product of an epoxy resin composition and reinforcing fibers. The epoxy resin composition includes, as epoxy resin components: at least one type of resin selected from the group consisting of bisphenol A-type epoxy resins, bisphenol F-type epoxy resins, and novolac-type epoxy resins; and a tetraglycidyl-type epoxy resin. The cured product of the epoxy resin composition has a swelling rate by methylethyl ketone of from 20 mass% to 44 mass%. |
