PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the backlight of a display part to brightness suitable for an ambient environment, when reproducing an image.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 1 includes a mode switching part 76 and a backlight control part 78. The mode switching part 76 performs switching to one of a plurality of operation modes including at least a photographing mode in which the picked-up image of an object is picked up by an imaging part 22 and a reproduction mode in which an imaging operation by the imaging part 22 is stopped and the object of the picked-up image picked up by the imaging part 22 is displayed on a display part 21. When the object is displayed on the display part 21, the backlight control part 78 sets the brightness of the backlight part 50 of the display part 21. When the operation mode is switched to the reproduction mode by the mode switching part 76, the backlight control part 78 sets the brightness of the backlight 50 of the display part 21, based on brightness information specified from the data of the picked-up image of the object picked up by the imaging part 22. |
