PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus which can generate an image facilitating confirmation of a position of the tip end part of a puncture needle.SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus generates volume data on the basis of results of scanning a subject with X-rays. The X-ray CT apparatus includes relative position detection means, MPR image generation means and display control means. The relative position detection means detects a relative position between an objective portion of the inside of the subject and the tip end part of a puncture needle. The MPR image generation means generates an MPR image having a thickness corresponding to that of the relative position detected by the relative position detection means, on the basis of the volume data. The display control means displays the MPR image generated by the MPR image generation means on the display means. |
