PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing method capable of allowing a user as a providing target of a piece of information to select another user having a tendency of like hobby/taste.SOLUTION: The information providing apparatus manages a first user in plural users and a second user who has a like evaluation tendency as the evaluation data of the first user while associating with each other. The information providing apparatus further manages a third user who is selected by a terminal apparatus of the first user as a user corresponding to the taste information which matches with the taste of the first user while associating the first user and the second user. With this arrangement, the first user can select not only a user who is automatically selected by a system but also another user whom the first user is interested in as a similar user. Thus, a piece of information closer to the hobby/taste of the target user can be provided.
