PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce gradation data variation in data programming while attaining high definition by reducing a holding capacity size.SOLUTION: A driving method of a pixel circuit which comprises a light-emitting element including a capacitive component, a first transistor, a second transistor, a holding capacitor and a third transistor and in which the capacitive component and the holding capacitor are capacitively coupled, includes: an initializing step pf supplying a first voltage and writing a voltage greater than a threshold voltage of the first transistor into the holding capacitor; a compensating step of supplying a gradation data voltage and writing a threshold voltage into the holding capacitor via the first and second transistors in an ON state; a data program step of supplying a second voltage and, after turning off the second transistor, writing a voltage of first data determined by the gradation data voltage and the threshold voltage into the holding capacitor; and a light-emitting step of turning on the second transistor after turning off the third transistor, and causing the first transistor to emit the light-emitting element on the basis of the first data. |
