PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator control system that relates to an elevator having multi-story cars, and controls the operation so as to ensure the safety of users by properly determining the door opening travel of each of the cars.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, an elevator control system that controls an elevator having multi-story cars includes door opening travel determination units and an operation control unit. The door opening travel determination units are included in the cars, respectively, and output a door opening travel detection signal when determined that a corresponding car is traveling with the door of the corresponding car or a landing door on any landing being left open. When the car door of any of the cars is open, the operation control unit outputs a door closing notification signal, which is used to suspend the output of the door opening travel detection signal, to the door opening travel determination units corresponding to the cars whose doors are closed. When detected that the door opening travel detection signal is outputted from any of the door opening travel determination units, the operation control unit ceases the operation of the elevator. |
