PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that is formed of a frame structure that has excellent rigidity, while maintaining reduced size and weight and manufacturability at low cost.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit for forming toner images on sheets, an internal housing that supports the image forming unit, and an external housing that has a placement surface supporting the internal housing. The internal housing includes a plurality of rectangular pipes having seams resulting from the processing of metal plate materials, and is disposed to face the placement surface to have the seams of the plurality of rectangular pipes provided downward. |
