<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming optical system capable of forming a correction target image with spherical aberration added and effect of field curvature effectively reduced.SOLUTION: An image forming optical system is used in an imaging system, in which an image forming optical system 202 forms an image of a subject 201, an imaging device 205 captures the image and outputs image data, and an image processing unit 206 receives the image data and applies restoration processing on the image data. The image forming system is configured to intentionally add only spherical aberration to increase a field of depth, and to make an effective area of a point image formed on a light receiving surface of the imaging device to have a size covering three or more light receiving pixels of the imaging device. A maximum value B of field curvature before the spherical aberration is intentionally added and an amount of spherical aberration A after the addition satisfy a condition expressed as: A/10≥B...(1).</p> |
