<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to form an excellent image on various recording materials different in volume resistance value, without increasing cost or body size.SOLUTION: An apparatus for supplying a current to a transfer nip part Nt via a guide member 17 and a recording material P during transfer operation includes: a common transfer voltage power source 18 which applies a voltage to a transfer roller 5 for transfer operation and applies a voltage to the guide member 17; a variable resistor 19b which is arranged on an electric path between the transfer voltage power source 18 and the guide member 17, and changes electrical resistance according to an environment where the image forming apparatus is used; and a varistor 20 connected in parallel with the guide member 17 between the guide member 17 and the variable resistor 19b in the electric path.</p> |
