Provided is a pattern area sensing structure of a touch panel, the structure comprising a shielding layer and a sensing layer; the shielding layer has a hollowed-out portion; the sensing layer is disposed below the shielding layer and around the hollowed-out portion. Also provided are a touch panel and cover plate structure thereof. In the pattern area sensing structure of the touch panel provided in the present invention, the sensing layer is located below the shielding layer and around the hollowed-out portion, so that the sensing layer is covered by the shielding layer and avoids the hollowed-out portion of the pattern area, and the sensing layer cannot be seen through the hollowed-out portion, thus improving the appearance of the touch panel.
