An atomizer and an electronic cigarette applying the atomizer. The atomizer comprises an oil reservoir component. The oil reservoir component is fitted at one extremity thereof with a connection component adapted to a battery rod (31) of the electronic cigarette. The oil reservoir component and the connection component have arranged therebetween an atomizer component. The oil reservoir component comprises an atomizer sleeve (21). The atomizer sleeve (21) has arranged therein a piece of oil-storage cotton (23). The oil-storage cotton (23) is provided at the middle part thereof with a ventilation duct (231) running parallel to the axis of the atomizer sleeve (21). The connection component has arranged at the middle part thereof an electrode (241). The atomizer component comprises an atomizer apparatus (25) adapted respectively to the oil-storage cotton (23) and to the connection component. During a work process, the oil reservoir component, the connection component, and the atomizer component respectively are modularly preassembled, and then these three components are integrated and assembled. This greatly simplifies an assembly process and allows for implementation of continuous automated production, thus allowing for a corresponding increase in the overall efficiency in the assembly of the atomizer and allowing the overall assembly process to be simple and easy. |
