<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain air bag capable of preventing an air bag body from being affected by a protection member provided on the air bag body. <P>SOLUTION: The curtain air bag is provided with the air bag body 5 stored in the state that it is folded at a cabin surface side of a roof side rail 2 and inflated/deployed in a curtain shape along both side in the cabin by a high pressure gas jetted from an inflator at collision of an automobile. The protection member 8 is provided on the air bag body 5 such that it is abutted on a projection (a) generated at a predetermined position of the roof side rail 2. Since the air bag body is not directly brought into contact with the projection (a) by the protection member 8, the air bag body 5 can be certainly prevented from being affected by the projection (a). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
