PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet apparatus which can implement micro vibration control without lowering processing speed while suppressing the cost, and its control method. ! SOLUTION: A liquid jet apparatus comprises a jet drive signal generation part 14 which generates a jet drive signal Sd to be applied to an individual electrode 20a of a piezoelectric element 20, and a vibration drive signal generation part 15 which generates a vibration drive signal Sv to be applied to a common electrode 20b. The jet drive signal includes a jet waveform by which ink is jetted from a nozzle through driving the piezoelectric element, and the vibration drive signal includes a vibration waveform which vibrates the ink in a pressure chamber at such a degree that the ink is not jetted from the nozzle by driving the piezoelectric element. !
