PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability when an opening end of a shield member is caulked and crimped to a shield shell.SOLUTION: Each split piece 3b of a shield member 3 is inserted in each slit 5g of a shield shell 5 and drawn, the split piece 3b is caulked together with a corresponding extension piece 5c of the shield shell 5, and crimped to the shield shell 5. At that time, an outside surface of the split piece 3b comes in slide contact with a corner 5h at an outside peripheral edge of the slit 5g, so as to peel an oxide film on the surface. Therefore, each split piece 3b of the shield member 3 is caulked together with each folding part 5f of the extension piece 5c of the shield shell 5 and press-welded to a base part 5a of the shield shell 5, so as to electrically connect to the base part 5a at good conductivity an outer surface of each split piece 3b in which a background of aluminum is exposed. Thus, the oxide film can be reliably removed from the surface of each split piece 3b of the shield member 3, and the shield member 3 can be electrically connected to the shield shell 5 at good conductivity. |
