PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorine-containing elastomer composition that when it is molded, for example, into an insulation layer and a sheath of an insulated electric wire and an insulated cable, is excellent in toughness (tensile strength, elongation, cut-through characteristics) and processability (good extrusion appearance without the occurrence of foaming and grainy unevenness during extrusion) and to provide an insulated electric wire and an insulated cable each using the fluorine-containing elastomer composition.SOLUTION: The fluorine-containing elastomer composition is constituted such that it contains a fluororesin component including a copolymer of a tetrafluoroethylene and a 2-4C α-olefin (a first fluorine-containing copolymer) and an ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer (a second fluorine-containing copolymer), polyethylene in a blending amount of 10-50 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the fluororesin component and a crosslinking aid and that the blending mass ratio of the first fluorine-containing copolymer to the second fluorine-containing copolymer (the first fluorine-containing copolymer:the second fluorine-containing copolymer) is 90:10 to 10:90. |
