PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor driving unit which can accurately detect the position of a rotor even in case that a position sensor is arranged in a position where it is easily influenced by the magnetic field generated by the winding of a motor.

SOLUTION: In a driving unit 60 which drives a motor 34 for rotating the drum 27 of a washing machine, a positional signal corrector 62 corrects the magnetic pole position of a rotor 37 that the edge of magnetic pole position signals Ha and Hb outputted by magnetic pole position sensors 61A and 61B shows, according to the value of a q-axis current Iq given by a vector rotator 68.
