<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize write operation for current by suppressing the influence of the parasitic capacitance of a data line. <P>SOLUTION: This programming device has field electroluminescence elements EL, two or more pixel circuits arranged in a matrix with current set-up circuits to set up the drive current to write the drive current of the EL based on the image data current on the data lines for displaying, data lines connected to the drive current set-up circuits arranged in one direction, a zero current set-up circuit connected with at least one of the data lines to write the current based on the reference current flowing on the data lines but not relating to displaying, and a switch M5 to cut off the data lines to control the connection.
